Prologue

 I’m going to tell you a story of events that ran from October 2007 to March 2010. It’s the story of my experience with the Western Australian justice system and the corruption that exists within it, which I wouldn’t have thought possible had I not been personally dragged through it.  I am now a firm believer that there are many innocent people suffering injustices not unlike my own, some who may well have been incarcerated as a result.

My ex wife played a major role in the malicious  barrage of false accusations and subsequent arrests which resulted in a legal nightmare that I fought for two and a half years of my life. The sole reason for this woman’s campaign of hatred, which she hoped would lead to my incarceration, is that I ended the marriage and financial support. She has caused me immeasurable pain by turning friends and people in authority against me through her lies and manipulations.

During my legal battles I suffered intense harassment by the Western Australian Police Force, as well as prolonged trauma and intentional financial hardship resulting from the Director of Public Prosecution’s constant Court remands and delayed trial dates. I witnessed bizarre and illegal conduct from a lawyer whose services I obtained, and lodged a complaint against her with the Legal Practitioner’s Complaints Committee. I also put a complaint to the Crime Corruption Commission about Police misconduct and inappropriate involvement with my ex wife. The seriousness of my complaints ultimately led to the Parliamentary Investigator launching his own enquiries, and threatening the use of Royal Commission powers into Police misconduct against me. This is a broad, coercive power assembled to defeat the protective systems that powerful, but corrupt public officials use to shield themselves from conventional investigations.

I’ve now learned that once you start to fight corruption, your enemies multiply and bandy together to try and silence you. It was only the ongoing support and financial help of my family and friends, many of whom have been threatened with arrest or violence, that stopped me from getting lost into a prison system.

There are people who will not want this book to come out. I have provided substantial documentation so that you can view the evidence and make up your own mind. I believe the truth must be told, partially to clear my name but also to expose the corruption that exists in some government departments inWestern Australia. This is the way the West is run.

I have changed some names for legal reasons and out of fear of further reprisals.
